{"id":3460,"date":"2026-03-04T16:45:23","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T14:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.anticaferrovia.it\/?page_id=3460"},"modified":"2026-03-05T00:45:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T22:45:06","slug":"the-history-of-the-property","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.anticaferrovia.it\/en\/la-casa\/the-history-of-the-property\/","title":{"rendered":"The history of the property"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The house is <strong>one of the first built in Tarvisio<\/strong>, which at the time was still part of the Austrian Empire.<\/p>\n<p>To better understand the building\u2019s uniqueness, we have conducted some historical research.<br \/>\nAs reported in old documents from the <strong>Pontebba Land Registry<\/strong>, the property dates back to <strong>1864<\/strong>, a period when Tarvisio belonged to the Austrian Empire.<\/p>\n<p>The initial owner was Adolf Miggitsch, the future Director of the Tarvisio Post Office in 1901, as announced in the Marburger Zeitung newspaper on February 9, 1901.<\/p>\n<p>A brief period of ownership saw the transfer to the Imperial Austrian State Railways (KKStb \u2013 Kaiserlich-K\u00f6nigliche \u00f6sterreichische Staatsbahnen) in 1886, managing the Tarvisio-Pontebba route.<br \/>\nThe property then returned to the Miggitsch family until 1908.<\/p>\n<p>The next owner held the property until 1925, when, following the end of World War I, Tarvisio became part of the Kingdom of Italy (1919).<\/p>\n<p>In 1925, the Sandrini family, a prominent Tarvisio builder, became the owner of the property, and they retained ownership until 1984.<\/p>\n<p>The house has appeared over the years on various postcards from the period; below are some examples to help you delve into its history:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The house is one of the first built in Tarvisio, which at the time was still part of the Austrian Empire.
